Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott San Jose Airport

A bit of a warning: finding the entrance from the street is tricky. Before the traffic light, you need to be on the right side of the white Sepetator cones on main Street. Once you’re in, there’s plenty of parking behind the hotel. A strip mall with food and stores is right across the way. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and staff were helpful and courteous, always greeting you with a smile. The rooms have microwaves and mini fridges, and breakfast was fresh with plenty of choices. I only had yogurt, but there were hot dishes and eggs too. The outdoor pool area would be nice when the weather’s warmer. I’ll definitely come back.

There are a few places to eat within walking distance, and the staff were friendly when greeting guests. The breakfast buffet was good, and the swimming pool was heated. My ground-floor room was clean, with modern furniture, and surprisingly quiet despite being close to busy highways 101 and 87 and the airport.

The hotel itself is fine, and I like having the Starbucks outside. I’ve stayed several times because it’s so close to the airport. Every visit, though, I get a blank folio and have to chase both the hotel and Marriott just to get a receipt for expenses. This has happened three times now. Since the property is independently owned, it isn’t on Marriott’s support website, so there’s no simple email or support ticket option. Really frustrating.

Fairfield Inn is my favorite place to stay in San Jose, and after more than two years here it feels like a home away from home. I’ve stayed in several rooms, and they’ve all been comfortable and really nice. The suites are beautiful, the beds are firm but cozy, the couches look great and are comfortable, and the bathrooms are clean and stocked with essentials. The balconies are my favorite part. There are lots of restaurants in the same shopping center, and Casino Matrix and Bay 101 are nearby too. Parking is convenient, well lit, and feels safe with security walking around. The tall shuttle driver, whose name I didn’t catch, is always friendly and helpful. The staff make the place. At the front desk, Anthony, Edward, Ben, Anna, Ken, and Maii have always been welcoming and positive. Housekeeping is hardworking and ready to help, including Edgar Jorge, Danny, Daniel, and all the ladies. I appreciate everyone behind the scenes too. Breakfast staff keep everything stocked, fresh, and warm, and make you feel welcome. There’s yogurt, cereal, fruit, eggs, sides, juice, hot chocolate, tea, and a waffle station, with plenty of nice places to sit and eat. The pool and jacuzzi area is my favorite, with palm trees, loungers, and tables where you can eat or just relax. Great job to everyone!
