Peach Tree Inn

We’ve stayed at PeachTree Inn many times and look forward to coming back. It feels more like a large bed-and-breakfast than an impersonal corporate place, with a lovely outdoor area in back. The neighborhood feels safe, and the inn is close to the freeway, Cal Poly, and downtown. Rooms have what you need for a comfortable few nights, and we especially like the Creekside rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but filling, and there’s plenty of parking right outside each room.

The staff really made this place for me. Everyone from the lobby team to the housekeepers and groundskeeper seemed friendly and proud of their work, and the whole property felt cared for and inviting. It’s a family-run, remodeled 1950s hotel that’s kept its original look, which gives it a feel you don’t find everywhere. The big lobby opens into a cozy gathering space with a coffee bar, board games, tables, and comfy chairs. Rooms vary, but ours felt clean and thoughtfully put together. It could work for a family, a couples’ getaway, or someone traveling for work. I get pretty invested in places I stay, and this one felt like a home away from home. That’s my take, anyway. We found the rooms clean and comfortable, and breakfast was simple but satisfying: fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, toast, and, best of all, really good coffee. The staff were helpful and welcoming at both check-in and checkout. They were especially considerate about our service dog and put us in an end room beside the grass.

We had a peaceful night here, with no neighbors nearby, and the traffic wasn’t noticeable since the inn sits a little back from the road. Parking was easy too, with a space right in front of each room. Breakfast was basic but tasty, and the room had everything we needed. It’s just off the highway at the edge of SLO. The woman at the front desk was cheerful and kind, so we felt welcome right away. You can walk into the center of SLO in about 15-20 minutes.
