Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tulsa West - Sand Springs by IHG

The location and service were great, and the rooms were nice. But both elevators were down while we were there, so we had to haul our bags up to the second and third floors. One room didn't have a shower curtain or any towels, which was inconvenient. The woman at the desk fixed it quickly, though.

The employees were wonderful, but our room was on the fourth floor and the elevator wasn't working. It had apparently been out of service for six months or more. We were there on a busy weekend, the hotel was full, and there was nowhere else at a trusted hotel, so changing places wasn't an option. I'll call before our next stay to make sure it's been repaired.

The location is handy, with stores and restaurants nearby, but I'd recommend avoiding this place. Both times I've stayed, this Holiday Inn Express has been a huge disappointment. The rooms felt damaged and dated, with broken fixtures and repairs that looked long overdue. The shower caulking was gross. Once, we asked to change rooms because ours felt so dirty. We were told rooms were being renovated and moved to another one, but it wasn't much better. At least the water no longer ran all over the bathroom floor when we showered. The whole place felt overpriced and nowhere near a three-star standard. We never had enough towels because sheets and towels weren't changed daily. In September 2025 the elevators weren't working, and other reviews suggest they're still broken. We had to carry our bags up the stairs, which wasn't what you'd expect.

After a 13-hour drive, I got there at 1 a.m. Saturday, May 30, and found out Jeremy had overbooked and sold my confirmed, paid-for Friday, May 29 room. I asked him to find me somewhere else, but he refused. I found another Holiday Inn Express, and they wouldn't sell me a room until I confirmed my Diamond Elite number. We've been loyal members for 10 years. Goodbye, IHG!
