I never actually got to stay here. I booked through hotels.com in June and received a confirmation that day. When we arrived around 10pm, there was nobody in the office, just a note on the door telling us to check our email for self-service check-in details. I searched thoroughly and had nothing from the property or hotels.com beyond the original confirmation. Everywhere I checked said check-in started at 3pm, with no stated cutoff. We had Cedar Point the next day and weren't planning to contact the property immediately, so we had to book somewhere else at the last minute rather than sleep in the car. I messaged them and my partner and I both tried calling that night, without an answer. The next morning I saw an email from the property sent at 8:53am with the room number and entry code. I called, was referred to hotels.com, and they contacted the property. I was told I would only get a refund for the second night. When I explained I hadn't received anything before 8:53am, the woman on the phone talked down to me, saying she'd never heard of an email sent at 1:40pm arriving at 8:53am the next day. She also said I should feel lucky to get a refund for that night because she didn't think I deserved even that. I've worked in hospitality my whole working life and am usually very understanding. If this had been my fault, I'd have admitted it. I'll dispute the charge with my bank. Do not stay here.

The location was good and the on-site staff were friendly, but everything else was a terrible experience. The room was over 90 degrees because it had no AC, and the managers wouldn't call maintenance. I booked through booking.com, contacted them to cancel, and they confirmed with the property that it was all set. More than six weeks later, there's still no refund, and neither the property nor booking.com has returned my calls or emails.

It's very close to Cedar Point, restaurants, and bars, and we even walked to a couple of nearby places. The people working there were very nice, which makes me wish I could rate the stay higher. Our room had crumbs that I kept finding, plus a leak that left the carpet wet about four feet out along an entire wall. It felt humid and damp and smelled of mildew. Hopefully that was just our room. Even with that, it wasn't the worst place I've stayed.

On a very hot early-July day, we arrived to find the room's AC already running, which made us comfortable right away. The room was clean, and the mattress was comfortable too. Staff we met were extremely friendly. There was a central room stocked with an ice machine, towels, extra blankets, trash bags, and shower supplies if you needed more. We didn't use the pool, but it looked very clean and ready to use. Great value near Cedar point, and I'd recommend it.
