Holiday Inn Express & Suites Denton - Sanger by IHG

The bathroom was wonderful, and the beds and pillows were amazing as always. Breakfast was a letdown, with burnt potatoes and dried-out turkey sausage, though the biscuits were good. Even though the place has been remodeled, our room could already use some paint touch-ups. It wasn’t littered with trash, but the carpet, tile, and even the walls seemed dirty and could have been cleaned better.

I liked the hotel, but the pricing made it hard to trust them. I paid $128 for a king suite on Sunday, then asked to stay another night and was quoted $225 for the same room on Monday. Since I’m in town for a couple of months, I asked about an extended stay deal. They offered $1700 plus tax for 15 days, which I accepted and booked. The next morning I found they had charged my card $2780. Since I booked directly through the hotel, I was able to get refunded. If I hadn’t, that would have been extremely bad for me. The hotel itself was great, but the prices change so much.

The website specifically said pets were allowed, but the front desk told me it wasn’t their official site, even though it said Denton Holiday Inn Express. Sigh. Not all pet owners are pigs. And unfortunately, it sounds like my review would apply to your location too. Not being pet friendly is a big thumbs down. Pet owners pay outrageous fees even when we follow the “leave no trace” motto, so not having a few rooms for people with pets who need safe lodging still earns one star.

Breakfast was delicious, just what I look forward to at a hotel. The staff were friendly, and everything was super clean. It made for a really nice, relaxing stay!
