Sam made our last-minute Friday night trip with my daughter so much easier by checking us in early. We’d planned to leave the car and walk to the boardwalk before returning at the scheduled 3:30 check-in, but the early room meant we could enjoy the afternoon and evening there. The location was exactly what we wanted, close by without breaking the bank, and the pool was clean. Our newly remodeled room didn’t have a mini fridge or coffee pot, which was a bummer. The property is being renovated, so there are boxes and other things outside; don’t let that put you off when you arrive. My only complaint was being right next to the ice machine, which ran all night and woke me up often as a light sleeper. Sam was very friendly and great, and I’d stay again. I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements next time.

The front desk gentleman was polite and helpful, and the heated pool was just the right temperature. We were really happy with the two-room suite. It was very clean, and I loved the decor. This place is great. I’ll be back and will tell friends.

For what we paid, this motel was pretty good for a one-night stay. The room was modern and clean, and Sam at reception was kind and always available. There wasn’t a trash can in the room at first, but when we asked, Sam brought one. We really enjoyed our stay.

Sam, the manager, made us feel welcome and was incredibly helpful. He even stayed up late to make sure we got down safely. There were seven of us, three adults and four kids, and the room was huge, with big bathrooms, clean newly remodeled spaces, and comfortable beds. We were wonderfully close to the boardwalk. A coffee pot in the room would make it even better. Otherwise, we’ll stay here with our kids whenever we come to santa cruz from now on.
