River Rd. Treehouses- Mockingbird Lodge

The houses look cute, though everything inside is tiny, especially the spiral stairs. Outside, huge ants were all over the tables, ground, and trees. I understand that’s nature, but the sewer problem was awful. The drains under the treehouse patios were overflowing, and the smell stayed inside and outside the house all weekend. It was disgusting. We called, but nobody ever got back to us, even though they promptly replaced the propane when we reported that it was empty. Later, while we were sitting on the patio, a huge gush of water poured out for a long time on the other side of the creek bed. That was sewer too, apparently coming from across the road, where I assume their other cabins are right by the river. If you book one of these treehouses, check first that the sewer isn’t overflowing.

Sky cabin 1 was clean and really cute, with easy access to the water. It’s also close to tube rentals, restaurants, and stores. We loved staying there and will be back.

We arrived with a few things we needed, and the crew took care of them right away. Everyone made sure we had what we needed for a great stay. Thanks to all the staff. It’s a beautiful little place on one of my favorite rivers.

We came here for our anniversary and loved it. Everything was very clean, and the views were beautiful and peaceful.
