Element by Marriott Savannah Midtown

The staff were all kind and helpful, and breakfast had a much better selection than I’ve had at other places. I especially liked the espresso-style coffee maker, though I wish it were available all day instead of just at breakfast. The location worked well for River Street and nearby food spots. A few things could’ve been better. The entrance light wasn’t working, and staff offered to move us to another room. The room phone couldn’t reach the front desk, whether we used its button or followed the dialing instructions, so I had to go downstairs to ask for things. The bathroom seemed to have been cleaned, but there was hair in obvious spots, including on the toilet seat, in the shower, and by the sink. There were also some marks or stains on the desk. The breakfast area felt cramped. The ready-to-grab hot food could use clearer placement or labels, since that line and the made-to-order egg line often merged and caused congestion.

There were stores just across the parking lot, an easy walk away. I liked the breakfast, especially the yogurt bar, and my clean room had a mini kitchen with everything I needed. The staff were helpful too. A very lovely stay!

The midtown location made it easy to get to restaurants, shops, and the historic district. Our room was comfortable, clean, and modern, with everything we needed for a pleasant visit. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and check-in went smoothly. A solid place to stay in Savannah, whether you’re here for work or to explore. I’d happily return.

The main downside was how thin the walls were. We could hear the people next door talking, snoring, and even breathing. Still, Courtney was fantastic, professional but down to earth, and made our stay much more enjoyable. The breakfast was healthy and tasty, and there were eateries and stores nearby. My wife and I were pleasantly impressed and would consider staying again.
