Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Savannah Midtown

Ms. Bonnie at the front desk made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. She was friendly, professional, and very helpful with my questions and requests. Her upbeat attitude and willingness to help made the stay more enjoyable. I really appreciate how much care she put into making guests feel welcome. Thank you, Ms. Bonnie!

We always have an exceptional stay, and the large bathroom and comfortable beds are favorites. Today I also want to recognize Carolyn, the kitchen supervisor. She's top notch, almost as if she has extra sensory awareness. Whenever tables cleared, she was right there cleaning them, and she kept the food well stocked. She's personable too, greeting guests and chatting with them. A real asset to the company.

The room was clean and nice, and the included garage parking was a welcome bonus. The lobby, breakfast area and continental breakfast, and gym were all very nice. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The big downside was how stuffy and humid the room felt, even with the air conditioning on. It made sleeping uncomfortable, though the other positives helped make up for it.

The afternoon into evening clerk made check-in easy and was very polite. I can't remember her name, but from our conversation I know her birthday is in December. When I came back the next evening, she also helped me find nearby places for things I needed. I was on floor 8 in room 823, and the smell hit me as soon as I opened the door. It was bearable but awful, like maybe wet dog mixed with cigars. It was after 11 PM after a late flight, so I propped the door open with my luggage for about ten minutes to air it out. I was exhausted and didn't want to bother anyone by changing rooms. The smell stayed the whole time, and the room could've been cleaner. They need to pay attention to details instead of just wiping surfaces.
