TownePlace Suites by Marriott Chicago Schaumburg

For the two weeks my girlfriend came to visit, we needed a kitchen since I share my place with roommates. I live nearby and knew this would be the best hotel for us. The area felt safe, the mall was down the street, and there were lots of restaurants to try. Everything about the stay was great, and everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was wonderful. If you're coming from out of state, this is a great place to stay.

I've stayed here many times and have rarely had any issues with the service or quality. A few times I've even been upgraded unexpectedly, which I really appreciated. The rooms are spacious and the location is great.

Our suite was spacious, clean, and laid out thoughtfully, with a full kitchen that made a longer stay easy. The beds were comfortable, and the fast Wi-Fi and good desk setup were useful. The hotel felt modern, quiet, and well maintained. We also liked the complimentary hot breakfast, free parking, fitness center, and indoor and outdoor lounge areas. Woodfield Mall, restaurants, and major highways are nearby, so the location works well for business or leisure. From check-in to check-out, things went smoothly, and the staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help. Fantastic stay at TownePlace Suites Schaumburg Chicago. We'll be back, and I'd recommend it to anyone after comfort, cleanliness, and good service in the Schaumburg area.

The breakfast and pool were nice, but the rooms need a serious update and the amenities were average. Our two-bedroom suite had a dirty floor and furniture, bad enough that I preferred staying on the bed rather than sitting on the couch or chair. The dining chairs were scratched up too. The grill was beside the employee smoking area, which was gross, so we skipped it. There was an outdoor fire pit, but the front desk wouldn't turn it on because it had rained 12 hours earlier. That seemed silly, and I have to assume they just didn't want to bother. The rooms are showing their age, and I've had much nicer stays at the same price. We chose this place based on reviews, but as first-time visitors to Schaumburg, we found it okay and no more. It's not terrible, but there are probably better options. Do better, Marriott. I'm close to switching to Hilton.
