The Sea Ranch Lodge

My guests and I came from out of state for our wedding, and everyone loved the food and the views. I’d booked the venue without seeing it first, so arriving and finding it even better than I’d hoped was such a treat. Getting there was quite a journey, but it was worth it. SRL made the whole thing memorable, and we’re already looking forward to coming back for our anniversary. It really is a perfect getaway.

The rooms are thoughtfully designed and appointed, and the views are hard to beat. I also had a great time in the cafe, lounge, and dining room. The squid ink Carbonara was especially delightful. What a beautiful place!

We spent a few days at the lodge for my little brother’s wedding, and even brought our dogs along. The staff kept everything organized and handled the day efficiently. It felt like a quiet, full-service retreat, with incredible food and walking trails, beach access, and cliffside views. The venue was beautiful, sophisticated, modern, and elegant. I couldn’t have imagined a better setting for his wedding. I’d recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a wedding venue or a break from California’s busy cities.

The restaurant food was very good, and the views really are beautiful. Still, our Valentine’s Day stay was a huge disappointment. I’d wanted to visit for a long time, so we booked the most expensive room with a king bed for a special trip. When we arrived, we were put in a much smaller room with a different view and three separate beds instead. No one had told us about the change beforehand. I spoke with the receptionist, who said she couldn’t do anything. She said an email had been sent, though a phone call ahead of time would have made more sense. She also said she’d leave a note for the manager, who would get in touch. Nobody ever did, and it felt as if no one cared. We won’t be coming back.
