Motel 6 Seaford, De

A cockroach ran across the floor as I was taking off my shoes. The sheets in my supposedly non-smoking room had burn holes, the white towels were stained, the shower tile was cracked, and there were no tissues. The TV remote was filthy. The door didn't seal tightly and had a gap underneath. Curtains barely covered the window, and the room could be seen from an angle through its reflection in the wall mirror. The desk clerk was behind protective glass and seemed annoyed that I was interrupting him. I paid $124 on a Saturday night for one person in a double, and it definitely wasn't worth it. I can't remember staying in a place this bad.

The room was cold and miserable for an elderly man because the heater couldn't warm it up. The phone didn't work either. I called from my cell to ask for extra blankets for my client, but they don't provide them. Don't stay here.

Motel 6 has been gracious and accommodating with a situation involving my client. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled and to check that he was okay. They didn't have to go the extra mile, but they did.

The rooms are filthy, stray cats roam the parking lot, and drug users are everywhere. There are broken-down cars parked and left behind. This place is disgraceful. The front desk staff, especially the woman working 3-11, was rude and ignorant. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're using drugs or homeless and desperate.
