Glendale Motel

We spent two great days at Glendale. Our family had a two-bedroom apartment and a regular room with two beds. The pool was just the right size to keep the kids entertained and safe, and it was quiet at night. Everyone was very accommodating. We’ll definitely be back!

We spent five days and four nights at Glendale, paying a little over $500, and I thought it was well worth it. My friend and I booked online, and once we arrived, we never needed the car because the place is right on the boardwalk and beach. The receptionist was the sweetest man, always smiling and very accommodating. Our room had two beds, the AC worked beautifully, and the shower was good too. The pool is small but refreshing. I honestly can’t think of a complaint. If you want somewhere simple to sleep, shower, and relax, I highly recommend it.

I was locked inside the room in the morning because the top lock wouldn’t open, and the broken window clip meant I couldn’t open that either. Nobody answered at the front desk, and I nearly had to call the police. The kitchenette was filthy and extremely outdated, like it had never been cleaned. The room also smelled awful, the sheets clearly hadn’t been changed, and when I asked for fresh ones, they changed them while I waited outside. They left the same top cover, which looked like it had never been washed, and dirty, wet footprints all over the room. The toilet rocked because it was installed incorrectly, and I almost fell. I was there with my son, and this was a terrible experience. Some people might say you get what you pay for, but it was expensive and not worth it. An absolute nightmare.

We were near the beach, and parking was included. The beds were fine, and the woman at the front counter was really nice and gave us beach passes. We stayed two nights with friends and had no problems. Other guests followed the no loud music rule too. We’d definitely come back.
