Windjammer Motor Inn

This isn’t a luxury resort, but the rooms are affordable and comfortable, with clean beds and towels, good water pressure, and somewhere to sit and eat. The family staff have been courteous, professional, and accommodating while helping us plan and during our stay. They keep everything organized and the place runs like clockwork. There’s a great pool, a small game room, an on-site restaurant and bar, and coin-operated laundry. They lend beach badges at no charge as long as you don’t lose them. It’s one block from the beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Rooms face or overlook the pool, bay, or beach.

The restaurant was a real highlight. We had beef filet sliders cooked just right and a huge homemade crab cake sandwich that was delicious. The owner and family were on site, friendly, and checked that everyone had what they needed, which gave the place a special feel. There was live music by the pool, with happy hour bar specials, an unexpected treat. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is the best. The pool is huge, with a shower and bathrooms poolside. We walked one block to the beach using the paid badges included with our stay. It’s a lovely residential area, with quaint shops just steps away, including the best ice cream.

We had such a good time here with our group of friends, this was our second year staying. There’s a pool, plenty of patio space, and a quality restaurant and bar. Rooms are tidied every day. It’s one block from the beach and a short bike ride to the Boardwalk, with lots to do during the summer.

Close to the beach, clean, and the pool and patio area are nice. The restaurant and bar weren’t open midweek in the off season. Loved the seashell centerpiece in the stairwell!
