Tradewinds Condo Hotel

I liked this rental. It was clean, close to the sand and water, and extremely dog-friendly. But room 210 was stuffy, even with the windows wide open. I had to leave the front door open to get air moving, and that helped only a little. They supplied a box fan, and unless I aimed it right at myself, the room still felt stuffy. Outside, the September nights were a pleasant mid-50s, but my room never cooled down and my dogs were panting the whole time.

I loved staying here. It’s beautiful, right on the water, well kept, and the owners are very nice. The rooms are unique and full of character. I’m eager to return. Update: years and years later, in 2024, I still think about my stay here often. I’ve never found another motel with the same character. I miss it.

We loved the beachy feel of the room, and the little kitchenette was handy for making breakfast during our few days there. It was a really special honeymoon stay, with the staff going out of their way for us. The beach is right there, but being away from downtown meant it never felt too crowded. Lovely views, friendly people, great service, and the rooms are so cute. It’s also close to the highway for coastal day trips. LOVE!

We’d happily come back. These pet-friendly condos are great, with beach chairs and sand toys available to use for free. Downtown is an easy 10-minute walk along the beachfront promenade.
