I left at 4am and went to another hotel. I couldn’t sleep, didn’t feel safe in the room, and it felt like a waste of money. The location is right off the highway and close to the mall, which was perfect, but I was looking for a getaway and ended up in the hood. A woman and a man were fighting outside all night until 4am, and the front desk guy did nothing. He was asleep, so I had to stand outside buzzing repeatedly to get back in because the card reader didn’t work. The AC knobs were missing, and none of the top lock latches on either room door worked. Horrible stay. I won’t return or recommend it.

My truck was robbed in the parking lot that night, and the hotel offered no help or concern. The microwave in the room didn’t work either, so I had no dinner. At check-in the gentleman was too absorbed in his phone to pay attention. I’m not sure he wasn’t sharing my credit card and ID with whoever he was talking to. He also forgot to put the room number on the key card envelope, so I had to make a note of it myself. Breakfast often ran out of items, and none of the tables were cleaned afterward. This place could be a good hotel if it had employees who cared about the guests.

I was stuck here for three days because of the recent snowstorm. On the third night, I found a roach in the shower, and the breakfast wasn’t good. The pool and hot tub were closed, despite the pictures making the hotel look nicer than it is. It needs new carpets and furniture. The first night, I had to try two rooms before getting a third because the heat didn’t work. While I waited for that third room, someone else called the desk to say their thermostat wasn’t working either. When you arrive, the front desk staff act like you’re a bother just for checking in. Don’t stay here, it’ll waste your money.

The room door was hard to open, and housekeeping hadn’t cleaned carefully. In the freezer I found a frozen soda and a turkey basting syringe with jello in it. The breakfast was inadequate, and there were screens torn out of the windows. I had to connect the TV and cable myself, and the signal was still so poor that I couldn’t watch. The check-in was the best part of a very poor stay. I’ve never stayed at a Choice hotel run so badly.
