Peaceful, Quiet Seward Apt W/back Yard & Mtn Views

The apartment was clean, but it was very dusty and the bed was uncomfortable. We’d booked two nights in Seward through booking.com, and ended up finding somewhere else before the first night because we didn’t feel comfortable. I understand that things like this can happen. My complaint is about what followed. We weren’t entitled to a refund, but the landlord offered to return the second night’s cost if he managed to rent the apartment again. We heard nothing further. After we posted a review on booking.com, he sent a nasty message claiming we had insulted his family, which wasn’t true. He said he would reimburse us, then said the bad review meant he wouldn’t. He pressured us to remove the review in exchange for a refund, and we did. Months later, there’s still no refund, only flimsy excuses. I’m really upset I fell for it and want others to know. If he’s done this to other people too, the accommodation reviews are fake. The whole thing felt rude and unprofessional.
