The room had some serious red flags when we checked in, so we got a full refund and an apology from the very kind, understanding staff. We'd driven in from Indiana, which made the whole thing especially inconvenient. I hope they get the problems sorted out someday, but I wouldn't book here again right now.

I was looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of months after my apartment flooded. We needed two beds because I have two sons, and my husband and I couldn't share a bed, but they said they couldn't accommodate us. The room they offered had a hole in the wall, smelled bad, showed signs of leaks, and had too much furniture for its size. There were also lots of potholes in the parking lot. The people next door had six kids and a husband there, and they were the same color as the staff. I'm white, and I felt the different treatment was racist. The attitude was bad and people were rude. They asked for my service papers, but the law doesn't require me to give them those. I have seizures, and my dog is for my seizures. They also wanted to charge $100 more for remodeled rooms that didn't look sufficiently remodeled. I was told there was an apartment section, then told no. I don't recommend this place.

The new owners and staff have made a huge difference since we've been here, and I see the work everyone puts in each day to improve the place. The front desk manager is the best. Whenever we've had an issue, she makes sure it's handled right away.

They told us the choices were another room somewhere within the LoneStar company, where all the properties are the same, or an upgrade to Motel 6 that would cost extra.
