Mya at the front desk was so friendly, and it was nice to arrive to her smiling face. The woman who handles breakfast was kind too, though I didn't catch her name. A warning about the exits: only one of the hotel's two driveways allows a left turn onto Samford Ave. At the right-turn-only exit, there's a huge, deep hole in the median, maybe three feet across. It looks like there may once have been a tree there and the hole was never filled. If you ignore the sign and try turning left over it, you could badly damage the passenger side of your car. Around 1 a.m. we heard what sounded like a souped-up Honda Civic speed out and go over the median anyway. There was a loud crunch, and I think the engine seized too. Here's your sign.

The staff are always kind, and breakfast is hot and ready. I feel really safe going for a walk here, and the heated pools are lovely. It's in the medical district, and no pets are allowed. I love this hotel and will be back. This is my spot when I come to shreveport louisiana.

The room phone barely had enough buttons to work, and the deadbolt didn't function. The door's safety latch was missing too. The TV was out of order, and its remote had no back. The shower had so little pressure that water wouldn't come through the shower head. There was also a very strong weed smell in the hallway outside our room, like it had been smoked there all day. It was unpleasant for people who don't smoke it.

The rooms are comfortable and kept up well, and the service has been excellent. The location is convenient, right across from Shriners and LSU Ochsner, and I appreciate the discounts for Shriners patients. The blue Blazer the manager often parks under the awning blocks the loading area. That spot should be available for quick pick-ups and drop-offs, not long-term parking. I visit often for appointments at Shriners with my child, who has a disability and uses a wheelchair, so the blocked space makes getting in and out harder. I hope corporate management looks into it and takes steps to fix the problem.
