I've been here for two or three weeks now, after coming during the snow storm, and I'm loving my stay. It's peaceful and quiet, and the other guests are friendly when you pass them. Everyone on staff is kind, from Mr.Billy to the pretty lady with dreadlocks and the house keeper. The rooms are beautiful, like small New York apartments, with a big ice box, stove, and sink area. I like being able to open the windows for fresh air. The place is in a nice part of Shreveport off pines rd, just up the street from a shopping center with everything you need: family dollar, phone and clothing stores, a happy hour spot, and a nice cheap buffet with great food. I like getting a to go plate there, coming back to my room, and watching TV. The TV is so fye, with Netflix, youtube, and cable.
The rooms were sold out from under me. I'd booked a smoking room, but it was gone by the time I arrived. The place reeks of marijuana on every floor, and so much is broken. There was no hot water, though they did fix the broken TV. Online deals come with hidden charges, and they tell you not to renew online because they might not have a room. They say paying there will be fine, but otherwise they may charge another deposit. There are too many bad things to list. Save yourself the trip and stay somewhere else. Trust me.
Dear Ashley Parker (Manager), I am writing about serious problems during my stay from 02 June 2026 to 09 June 2026, including conditions I consider uninhabitable and violations of the American with disabilities of 1990. I've made several good faith attempts to reach you, but staff gave me an email address that didn't work, and the customer service line kept disconnecting. I have clear and convening evidence. This is my final opportunity for the establishment to address matters in good faith. The room's sanitary condition was extremely poor. I reported the dirty, unusable refrigerator to Marlinda on check-in day. She said it would be cleaned, but it remained dirty, so I had to leave food that needed refrigeration on the counter. The shower knob was broken and no water came out when raised. I couldn't shower before bed or work. After waiting until after 3:00 PM for a clean room, I was chastised by Billy for expecting it to be clean and functional. He was dismissive when I asked about a difference between my written agreement and what staff said about the deposit. My name is not "girl". The room I was moved to days later had a broken sink. I was afraid to alert staff for my safety and well being. Other guests also complained to me about the facility being dirty and nasty. The side doors leading outside were left propped open, which made me fear for my safety. The facility claims ADA compliance for its entrance doors, but four days ago, during a fire alarm, I saw a guest who uses a wheelchair have to wait for another guest to open the door so she could exit and get back in. That isn't accessible. The customer service was dismissive throughout. What resolution do you propose, and how will appropriate personnel be held responsible? Time is of the essence. Regards, Former Studio 6 guest
I travel for work and have stayed at Extended Stay America before, usually with a good experience, but this time was awful. There were no hand towels, ice bucket, cups, or dishes. The phone cord was cut, the toilet seat was loose, and the smoke detector was coming off the wall. I couldn't post the toilet seat video, and they never replaced the towels. I complained to the guys at the desk Friday, but they showed no concern. When I went downstairs, the front desk was closed. It was still shut nearly 10 a.m. Saturday after I got up and dressed. I ended up checking out earlier than planned.
I only gave this one star because zero wasn't an option. We booked two rooms on Priceline a week before our stay, but at arrival the front desk woman was extremely rude and refused to check us in, saying there were no rooms available. We had to find somewhere else and pay twice as much. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
