The rooms were clean and looked after, and getting upstairs was easy with the accessible elevators. Breakfast was a good continental spread, with fresh ham and eggs, served in the room beside the lobby. The lobby and lounge are on the first floor and accessible. Booking was simple, and the person at the front desk gave excellent service.

I liked having a mall nearby, and there wasn't much traffic, so getting around was easy. The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was hot and good, with sliced ham one morning and a lean sausage and egg muffin another. The breakfast staff were kind and attentive. They also had herbal tea, blackout masks, and a sleep kit for blocking noise, though I didn't really need it.

Room 116 has bed bugs. My family and I stayed for one night, and I woke up with several bites on my stomach, arms, and chest. I've dealt with bed bugs before and know what the bites look and feel like. I feel foolish for ignoring the faint dark marks on the comforter on the pull-out sofa. I hoped they were mascara stains because I wanted a good night's sleep and didn't want it to be true. The mattress being wrapped in plastic seemed like a good sign at the time, but now I feel the hotel knows there's a bug problem and is still carelessly booking guests into that room. I feel disgusting and wish I'd trusted my instincts. Room 116 has bed bugs.

Our room had a spacious bathroom, a full-size fridge, a medium-firm bed, and a huge TV. The modern decor was nice, and the bench outside the main entrance was a pleasant place to sit in the weather. Breakfast was good, especially the bacon, though the choices weren't consistent one morning. There were some paint chips and an elevator issue, and the many children staying there seemed likely to be in town for a baseball tournament. Staff were mostly helpful and friendly. One front desk employee felt too intrusive and dishonest, but the housekeeper and breakfast team were kind and accommodating. Gabi was fantastic. Housekeeping required a request 24 hours ahead, which was inconvenient. The trash can was too small for room service every three days, and getting toilet paper took 15 minutes after a long front desk line. We had to ask breakfast staff for help, and they kindly sorted it out. Overall, a good hotel with a few quirks.
