I spend 50+ nights a year in hotels, and the people and small details are what make the difference. I needed a little help here, and the staff were great. Great hotel.

I’ve stayed here more than 15 times, and for its price range and location I’d put it at 7 out of 10. You pay more in bigger cities or heavy tourist areas, of course. The staff are nice, the location is great for getting around the city, and it’s close to the interstate. There’s also a restaurant, convenience store and gas station nearby. Parking can be tight, but I’ve always found a space. The rooms are okay, though the air conditioner has been a recurring annoyance for me. I set it to 69 and wake up to 71 because it doesn’t seem to keep running overnight. I think this happens in hotels generally. Breakfast is decent, not five-star, but as a free option I’d give it 6 out of 10. All in all, it’s a decent hotel and I’ll keep coming back.

The microwave and dishwasher in our room didn’t work, and the facility seemed in disrepair. During the stay, my son accidentally broke a picture frame. We told the front desk right away, asked for cleaning supplies and cleaned up ourselves. We were upfront about what happened and accepted responsibility. We left a day early to get ahead of the weather. I knew there’d be no refund for that, paid the full balance at checkout, and was told everything was settled. But the next day I saw another $75 charge. When I called, they said it was for the frame. I wasn’t disputing that charge, but wondered why nobody mentioned it when I checked out in person. Instead of answering, staff seemed dismissive and questioned whether I’d checked out in person, without listening to my explanation. I also brought up the broken microwave and dishwasher, but they showed no interest or accountability and ended the call abruptly. It would have been much more professional and respectful to tell me about the added charge at checkout. I would have appreciated courtesy and empathy instead of suspicion and disregard.

Housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping the room clean, and they were respectful of my belongings while moving things to clean. They even took care of my dirty dishes. The beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating when I needed to extend my room with only two hours’ notice. Staying here was a great experience.
