Ramada Sioux Falls

The room was run down and had a terrible musty wet-dog smell. Our TV didn’t work, and the hot tub was barely lukewarm with jets that wouldn’t run. Breakfast was limited, though it did include hot food like biscuits and gravy, sausage and waffles. The room was decently priced, and the receptionist was polite, but when we arrived there were several people in the lobby and nobody at the desk. We had to call to get someone to come out. There was also someone else’s receipt left on the counter. We were in town for an event in Sioux Falls, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The room smelled dirty, the carpet was filthy, and the sofa looked so bad it belonged in the dump. I was charged more on my credit card than I was supposed to be. In my opinion, even $77 was far too much for that room. I won’t recommend this motel or come back. I wonder what a state inspector would think after reading these reviews. I may have to look into it.

I was only passing through Sioux Falls for one night on a cross-country drive, and my expectations were low. The hotel still managed to be far worse than I expected. Within 10-15 minutes of arriving at 2 a.m., I’d killed eight bugs on visible surfaces: the nightstand, sink, bathroom floor, mini fridge and wall. I wasn’t searching corners; they were right out in the open. It was nasty to have to deal with pests when all I wanted was sleep. I was too exhausted to ask for another room. I wore long sleeves and sweats on top of the bed and didn’t even risk checking under the sheets. I understand wanting to save money, which is why I picked this place, but spend the extra $10-20 if you want to avoid the risk of critters. If the owners are reading, I’d happily take a refund.

In my 19 years, this was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The workers were rude and unfriendly. Our room hadn’t been vacuumed, the sheets were a mess, and the bathroom had used soap and dirty men’s boxers that weren’t ours. The whole place smelled like wet dog. When we came in with our bags, the worker was gripping the couch with his toes while doom scrolling. He was so absorbed in his phone he didn’t greet us. Don’t come here unless you want to catch some new disease.
