Homewood Suites by Hilton Burlington

We’d been to Burlington several times over the years, and this is definitely the best hotel we’ve stayed at there. The complimentary breakfast was great, and all of the staff were awesome. We had a multi-room reservation and ran into flight trouble, but Alexey at the front desk was especially helpful in sorting things out.

The staff are great, and we’re looking forward to coming back. We’ve stayed here for time at the lake and for skiing in the mountains, and it works well as a base for Burlington or the mountains a little farther away. It’s close to the highway, downtown, and lots of restaurants. The facility is a standard Homewood Suites, with clean, comfortable rooms, a nice pool for the kids, and a great breakfast.

The rooms were clean, service was great, and the included breakfast was phenomenal, with lots of variety, homemade items, and food that worked for different diets. I’d recommend staying here if you’re visiting Vermont.

The kitchen team puts so much care into breakfast. I travel often and have eaten at plenty of hotel breakfasts, but this one really stands out. It may be the standard hotel setup, but there’s a loving touch to it. The warm muffins are freshly baked each morning, and my warm orange cranberry muffin had fresh orange peel on top. There was something different each morning, and I loved everything I tried, from breakfast casseroles to scrambled eggs with sausage and regular scrambled eggs. I even noticed pots of fresh herbs for the cooking when the door opened. You can tell the staff care about their work. I woke up eager to see what I’d be eating, like a kid on Christmas morning. The hotel is lovely, a 10+ for me. Michelle at the front desk, I think, is an amazing part of its hospitality. I say “I think” because she’s so clearly enjoying her job and helping people. She makes everyone she meets feel loved, like family. I talk a lot, sorry, but I observe even more. Bravo to the manager for letting employees be themselves at work. That tells me he’s doing an outstanding job. It all starts at the top. I’m going back to work soon and expect I’ll get “beat up” at my workplace, so I extended my stay by two more days to enjoy theirs. Thank you, sincerely, Christy.
