The owner was helpful when I called with questions about local restaurants. We got disconnected during the first call, but they called me back. The motel is an older place that’s been renovated, right off the highway. Our room was clean and quiet, the price was fair, and the new AC worked well. I had a great stay and would come back.

I keep choosing the Anchor ⚓ Motel whenever I need a room. The prices are good, and the rooms are cozy, quiet, and really clean. The owner is kind, respectful, and caring, and treats people well. It doesn’t feel like a rip-off, either. They’re strict about who they rent to, which I appreciate. You need a State ID, and they won’t let someone rent a room for another person unless that person comes into the office and shows ID. They don’t allow drugs or other crazy stuff on the property. The owner has a big heart.
I stayed in two rooms. I didn’t notice anything wrong in the first, though I wasn’t checking closely. In the second, my friend started getting bumps from bed bugs. I had to contact code enforcement. I hope other guests check the bedding and make sure it meets code.
