Hampton Inn Memphis/Southaven

Angelica from Housekeeping was amazing and fixed all my issues without any trouble. The front desk was fantastic, and breakfast was good, but housekeeping needs more work. The room had hair on the floor and shower walls, mold in the shower, a dirty mirror, water inside the iron, no laundry bag, stained towels, and a sticky bathroom floor. The floor hadn’t been vacuumed, so I did it the next morning. There were too many problems that should have been caught before check-in. The elevator was nasty too, and its floor needs vacuuming and odor control. Please vacuum all the hallways. The supervisor or Room Inspector should be terminated.

Of all the Hilton group hotels on our trip, this was the worst. Our room stank because the shower curtain was nasty. I asked for a replacement, but they didn’t bring one until checkout. The beds squeaked and were uncomfortable, and the room phone didn’t work. It was so cold in the breakfast area that we couldn’t eat there. The front desk lady also had quite an attitude.

I rarely leave a negative review, since 99% of the time I post positive ones, but this place was so disgusting I can’t let it slide. The building is outdated, the floors were filthy, and the parking lot was scattered with food and trash. People were hanging around there and staring as you drove by. My feet got so dirty from my room’s floor that I left dirt footprints on the shower floor the next morning. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in over 15 years, and among the worst of all my travels, even compared with an old Days Inn. I can’t discourage you enough from staying here.

The bed was horrible, and the hotel is outdated for $200 a night. I’m glad I brought my own pillows. The elevator was broken at checkout, though thankfully I wasn’t in it. I’ve stayed at a lot of Hampton Inns over the last 30 years, and this one was the least favorable. I used to default to the brand, but Holiday Inn Express/Southaven was a much better and cheaper experience the week before. They were booked this time, so I ended up at Hampton to stay in the same area.
