Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Spokane

The front desk staff were wonderful, even though the noise made our second night a bad one. The first night was fine, apart from the usual loud hallway guests and kids yelling. On night two, music from the room above us was very loud. The desk said they'd asked the party to quiet down and told me to call again if it hadn't improved in 10 minutes. Fifteen minutes later it was still just as loud, and it didn't stop until about half an hour had passed. Around 20 minutes after that, someone vacuumed and moved chairs for nearly an hour. After several noise complaints, you'd think they might have waited before adding more noise.

I chose this place based on recent reviews from the past 30 days, thinking I'd found a decent deal. I was wrong. Getting there from the highway was awkward, although the location is convenient for trips to and from downtown. I stayed in room 130 from 22-Nov-2025 through 24-Nov-2025. It was beside the pool's side entrance and the building elevator, so people walking by, including those parking, could see inside. I had to keep the curtains shut and felt like I was in a prison cell. The 80s decor, including the ceiling, plus noise outside, in the halls, and from neighbors above and beside me, made it a place I wouldn't revisit or pay a premium $100 per night for. Breakfast was disappointing too: basically sausage links, scrambled eggs, and FYI waffles, if you can figure out how to make them without instructions. It's okay for a quick last-minute night, but I'd skip it for a planned vacation or longer stay.

We booked one night at Ramada Downtown Spokane, 1/1-1/2/26. Our first room, #336, seemed fine until we found there was no hot water at the sink or shower. The clerk apologized and moved us to #313. I tested the water right away. After about five minutes it was still cool, and the shower only produced a small trickle. The clerk then moved us again, to #211 on the second floor. By then it was around 9 p.m. and we were worn out from driving all day. Both the sink and tub had standing water, clearly a drainage problem. That was the third room, and we didn't want to try another. We asked for a refund because none of the three rooms was adequate, but the clerk said she couldn't issue one and gave us the manager's email. We wrote asking for the room payment and deposit back. We had to pay more for another hotel in Spokane because Ramada didn't fix the problems after three chances. We first emailed the manager yesterday and got no response. Our booking agent later said the manager denied that we had checked in, which was unbelievable. We had to get our refund through the booking agent. Only after the refund came through did I finally hear from the manager, far too late. Don't stay at Ramada, you'll regret it!

Jeri-Lyn and Kenya are such sweethearts and always try to give the best service. Housekeeping was rarely around, and I wish the laundry were working. Still, I'll definitely be back in a few weeks.
