Palace Inn- Louetta

The staff are always kind, and we really appreciate their service. My mom and I stay at this hotel whenever we’re nearby, and the clean rooms and comfortable beds never disappoint. I’d recommend it.

For a quick night or two, I’d come back. It’s quiet and clean, the price is decent, and the furniture looks new or recently updated. A few things could use attention: there’s a gap under the front door, the walls and baseboards need paint touch-ups, and the room could use another toilet paper roll and a tissue box.

The location worked well for my plans, but I arrived to a dirty room, with a banana peel and plastic wrapper under the table. There was only a sheet on the bed. When I asked the front desk for a blanket, the person there was rude and refused to get one. I checked out early because I was cold and had to clean the room myself, and my refund was refused.

I kept returning because it was quiet and the rooms were generally reliable. The single rooms are a little fancier than the doubles, but either was fine. This latest stay was completely different: roaches were everywhere. In the morning, we turned on the lights and watched the little ones scatter, while larger tan ones were on the walls. The fire alarm had also been removed from the ceiling and put in a drawer, where it beeped all night. The rooms are nice if you can overlook the infestation.
