Petty Ranch Inn Mini-hotel

Petty ranch inn, more like pretty ranch inn, hah. It was a great price, and the room was very clean. The towels were soft, and all the supplied soaps smelled great. We liked going to Canyon Coffee in the mornings since it was close and on the way to Zion. The inn was also close to Zion and some great restaurants. Service was great: they texted the check-in and checkout details and replied quickly. My wife and I would happily stay again if we come back.

It was handy to have hot coffee in the lobby as early as 5:30am, and Springdale restaurants and conveniences are easy to reach on foot. The location is also excellent for getting to Zion National Park's visitor center. Our room was clean and seemed fairly recently redone, though it was sparsely furnished and decorated. There were two comfortable chairs. The listing said there'd be a microwave in the room, but there wasn't, which made it harder to put together a quick breakfast before the 7am Zion Park shuttle. We later heard there was one in a lobby closet, but the lobby wasn't staffed early and we found out too late for it to help.

We arrived late on a Thursday, but checking in was easy. I'd booked and paid through Expedia, and got detailed arrival instructions that day. It felt like a modern guesthouse or Airbnb: the front desk closes at 8 PM, and we used a digital code from the text with the Wi-Fi details to get in. The Mountain View room delivered on its promise, with breathtaking views. Inside, it was spacious, very clean, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was phenomenal, and the bed and pillows were genuinely the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel. The quiet surroundings made for a restful night, and the South Entrance to Zion National Park was just a five-minute drive away. Coffee shops, restaurants, and charming local stores were all within walking distance. This was an unexpectedly lovely retreat, and I'd wholeheartedly recommend it.

We got a good January rate, and booking online and checking in digitally was straightforward. We never spoke with anyone in person for check-in or checkout. That wasn't a problem, just different from what we're used to. The rooms looked nicely updated and everything seemed new, which made the already low price feel even better.
