The pool, laundry room, and 24-hour gym made this a practical stop on our Route 66 drive, and we slept well in a roomy room with a big comfortable bed and a tub deep enough for a soak. Check-in was friendly, and there’s a little lobby shop for snacks, drinks, and basics, plus a café bar for coffee or other drinks. We also appreciated how easy parking was. Restaurants and convenience stores are only a short drive away. The gym is small, and some of its equipment looks worn, including rusty dumbbells, though it all still worked for a simple workout. A good place for a night on the road.

The room needed more attention, and housekeeping hadn't properly freshened it. The hotel feels worn down, yet charges full price, even though guests can't use the balconies. Coffee from the cafeteria was bad, and passing it off as Starbucks didn't help. A first-rate hotel should offer complimentary coffee. I'm disappointed, and I won't stay at Marriotts anymore. It was quiet, at least.

The location is tucked far back in the shopping area, which isn't great, though the noise was surprisingly manageable. We like Marriott, and this is a decent hotel too. The loss of breakfast is why I'm taking stars off.

Everything else was good, too. Yvette got me checked in quickly on Christmas Day and suggested a place to eat. With everything else closed, I was glad she found me somewhere to get food.

The parking lot is still covered in snow and ice a week after it snowed. The hotel itself feels old and dated, there's no continental breakfast, and simple breakfast at the bistro costs a fortune. There's no hot tub either, just one filled in with concrete. This isn't a good Marriott.
