She always seems to find a way to hold on to the deposit. The rooms aren’t nearly as nice as the Fairfax, and Relax costs $15 more.

I only popped in to visit a friend, but came away feeling like I needed another shower. Not for me.

I found bedbugs and dirty roaches, and the place smelled like Jorge. Eww. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. I left right away and asked for my money back, but she refused, and she kept my deposit too. They need to shut this place down.

We found this place while driving around Springfield, trying to find any hotel with a smoking room. I still want a hot shower and a comfortable bed like anyone else. The young guy at the desk was pleasant, and even though the rooms are dated, ours was clean. I don’t mind chipped paint or scratched furniture. It had what I needed: a hot shower and a very comfortable bed. Cheapest place we’d found, too. People mention the parking lot and “shady characters,” but the lot is well lit, and you can see “shady characters” at the Marriott these days. I never felt unsafe. If you’re expecting the Marriott, go there. If you want a cheap smoking room and a good night’s sleep, this works.
