The location is central and close to Interstate 91, with the Basketball Hall of Fame and Springfield Museums within walking distance. MGM Springfield is still the best option among downtown Springfield hotels, though it's better for a night or maybe two. Weekday stays can be much cheaper and less disruptive, and the downsides would matter more on an expensive night. After checkout, it took about a week, but I did get Marriott Bonvoy points and the promotional extra points and nights, so be patient. The room was clean, cozy, and stylish, with coordinated furniture and wall art, elegant hardwood floors, and a firm bed that let me sleep well both nights. The rain shower and high-quality body wash were also great. It was surprising that there was no mini-fridge, and I expected no microwave since this is a casino hotel. Coffee and water were available, and vending machines down the hall, but that was inconvenient. The thin walls let noise travel easily, though it didn't affect my sleep because I stayed busy during the day and went straight to bed. The fitness center was nice but cramped, with limited equipment, mostly treadmills and bikes, and an elliptical that looked like a stair climber. There was no cold water, just room-temperature bottles, and the machines often had no cleaning wipes. The outdoor pool is on the same level, right next to the fitness center, which seems odd for a city with cold weather. The spa appears to be permanently closed, probably because of the pandemic. Maybe they should consider a new franchise.

For my first casino visit, it was a pretty good experience. It wasn't crowded, the noise stayed manageable for someone who has a hard time with loud places, and everything was very clean and smelled pleasant. The staff were polite and professional, and drinks were well made and easy to get.

We were heading up the MA pike and on toward Niagara, and this was a great place to stop. I had a free room through MGM rewards, so why not? The room was gorgeous and very clean, and the casino and grounds were lovely too. We ate at the sports bar, where the food was tasty and service excellent, played the slots for a while, and got a drink from the free soda fountain. There's a hand-washing sink beside the drink machines, a great idea for getting those cootie germs off. And best of all, it's on smoking!

Maria served us at Chandler's steakhouse, and she was a delight. She knew the menu, made good recommendations, and was a pleasure to be around. The food was great too. This was our first dinner at Chandler's, and my husband and I will definitely come back. Please let Maria know what a great job she did. She's an asset to the restaurant. I spent a full week at MGM Springfield and had a fantastic stay from beginning to end. The location was convenient for restaurants and things to do in Springfield, and the property was beautiful, with plenty of spots to sit, relax, or explore. The casino and amenities offered entertainment and convenience without feeling overwhelming. My room was quiet and comfortable, and the bed was one of the best I've slept on at a hotel, just right after long days walking around the area. Housekeeping kept everything tidy, and small requests were handled quickly and with a smile. The whole place felt clean, modern, and well maintained, and the staff made me feel welcome every day. Check-in was quick, checkout was smooth, and the service was great throughout. One of my favorite stays in a long time. I'd happily return and recommend MGM Springfield to anyone wanting a comfortable, enjoyable visit.
