Edgewood Tahoe Resort

We celebrated a family birthday at Edgewood Restaurant in Tahoe, and the lake views made dinner feel extra special. The place has a luxurious feel while still being warm and cozy. Everything we ate and drank was delicious, and the presentation and attention to detail were impressive. Service was attentive, professional, and welcoming. We’d happily return next time we’re in Tahoe.

Edgewood is a wonderful escape from work and a great place to bring family or friends. The golf course is beautifully cared for, from the putting greens and fairways to the tee boxes, and the surrounding scenery makes for memorable outings. I’m grateful for the luxury getaway feeling every time I’m here. It’s one of the best kept resorts in Lake Tahoe, maybe the best in the basin.

The valet setup caused us a lot of stress. We brought an expensive high-performance car, and for personal reasons we don’t let anyone else drive our vehicles. Having to hand over the keys was very uncomfortable, and there wasn’t a realistic self-parking option for guests with specialty cars. I understand valet may suit many people, but it took away some of the comfort and peace we wanted from the stay. The rest of Edgewood Tahoe was beautiful. The lakefront location and scenery were stunning, the room was luxurious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere felt upscale but relaxed, and much of the resort lived up to its reputation.

We had a comfortable stay and would come back. The property is gorgeous, with lake views, a private beach, a well-kept golf course, and plenty for families. We stayed with friends and their kids, and the hotel had a pack and play, humidifier, and diaper pail ready for our 11-week-old when we arrived. The front desk woman and bellhop were kind and helpful, and housekeeping was great and prompt whenever we called. The Bistro was the one downside. We ate there three or four times, and the staff often made us feel like a burden instead of being friendly or accommodating. I had to leave the stroller at the host stand, so I had nowhere to put the baby and couldn’t eat my food. On 5/24, my husband arrived alone for breakfast at 8:35 and asked for a patio seat. There were only about three guests in the restaurant, but the host said he couldn’t be seated until 9. She told him to wait a few minutes, then forgot about him. He went back up after 9 and she seated him. It was a strange interaction and wasted his time.
