La Quinta Inn Statesboro - Georgia Southern Univ.

We stayed for two nights with our dogs, and the room smelled horrible. The carpet had more pet pee on it than the grass outside. It’s good that pets are allowed, but rooms like these might be better with hard flooring. At 2 and 3 in the morning, people were running up and down the hall and slamming doors both nights. It’s not worth the money.

This La Quinta was a decent value and about as reliable as you’d expect, but the service is what made this property stand out. I left a pair of shoes in the room and didn’t realize until the next day, after I’d returned home an hour away. I called, and Arlene was very helpful. She said she’d package them up and send them the next day. Hats off to the staff for going the extra mile even after we’d checked out.

The rooms were roomy, clean, and faced inward, and the parking lot was well lit. The price was very affordable, with Georgia Southern campus and shopping close by. The air conditioner in the room was noisy, though, and breakfast was extremely basic.

The bed was comfortable, but that was the only thing that worked out. The TV channels were missing, the Wi-Fi wouldn't connect, and they shut off my keys an hour and a half before checkout. When I tried to explain the problems, they made me feel like I was the one being foolish. The internet worked on the employee's phone, apparently, and they suggested I must have damaged the keys somehow. Sure, because my family travels with magnets everywhere. I wish I could recommend the room, but the service was so bad I want to give the place zero stars. Hope they read this. Crappy hotel.
