Budget Inn Motel Storm Lake

The bed was so comfortable that even while going through cancer treatment, when I usually don't sleep well, I slept great and could've stayed in bed longer. Breakfast was good and the coffee was great. The owner is usually on site and helped us with the TV, and the toilets have been updated. My son and I travel a lot, and for the price this is one of the best hotels we've found. We'll stay again. I did leave my Iowa neck pillow behind, though.

The family running the place were kind and really tried to make my stay pleasant. They moved me when the first room had no Wi-Fi signal for my transcription work, and the new room had a great connection. On my last night the signal dropped again, so I ended up getting another hotel room. The internet can be spotty, but when it works it's fast. The owners did more than they had to, and if you don't need Wi-Fi, there's really no downside. I was there for work and have stayed in all sorts of hotels and motels. The rooms were large, very clean, quiet, and had comfortable beds. I worked night shifts and always felt safe. Nearby, the Cafe next door was amazing, there's a general store across the street, and a grocery store about two blocks away. I didn't see ice or find where it was, though I didn't have time to look. For the price, cleanliness, room size, and location, it's hard to find a better place. I'd recommend it and would likely stay again if work brings me back.

Finding a place that's clean, quiet, well priced, and in a good location is rare on my cross country work trips. This motel had all four. Thanks, Paul, for making the stay easy. You were always smiling, and extending my stay three times was a breeze.

I got stranded by the weather, and the owner was kind and very helpful about finding me a room for a second night. The rate was reasonable, the bed comfortable, and the room clean. The motel is dated, and the internet was pretty unreliable, but I still had a good stay and would come back.
