I chose The Scofield House for my first Door County visit and was so glad I did. Janet and Carl were welcoming and kind, and the food was fantastic. They also gave helpful suggestions for things to do around the peninsula, which was great for a first-timer. Downtown Sturgeon Bay was an easy walk away, though the property itself felt peaceful. The autumn foliage around the house was gorgeous, and driving to the tip of the peninsula took about an hour. I can't recommend this place enough, and I'm really happy I stayed here for my first visit.

The house was beautiful, very clean, and comfortable, and Janet and Carl were outstanding hosts. Breakfast changed each morning and was excellent. They seem to have thought of everything guests might need. We loved our four-night stay and hope to return.

Our first bed and breakfast stay was a five-star experience. The house was lovely, Karl and Janet were delightful, and we enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and snacks. We'll definitely return!

We love coming back each year. This was our third fall at the Scofield House, and it's become a tradition with friends. We make it a three-night trip and have already booked for next year. We stay in the Room at the Top, which is comfortable and has plenty of space to sit together and chat late into the evening. Karl and Janet are friendly and great at recommending wineries and restaurants. Their picks have always been spot on. Karl's breakfasts are delicious and enjoyed by everyone. The historic building is beautiful, and everything is clean and comfortable. It's a memorable place to return to.

Their suggestions made exploring DC fun, and we'll certainly come back someday. We spent three nights in Turret, where every detail seemed thought through and the room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious, and Janet and Karl were gracious hosts. The historic house is beautiful, with so many details to appreciate.
