La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sulphur (Lake Charles)

After the mess at Fairfield, La Quinta felt like a breath of fresh air. We hadn’t planned to stay there, but Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Lake Charles Sulphur canceled our three-day booking when we arrived, saying they’d overbooked. They hadn’t called or emailed, and claimed they didn’t have our contact information even though it was on the reservation email. We were sent somewhere else, then quickly called La Quinta. Zara was wonderful. She found us a room at a much better rate than the other hotel and made us feel welcome. She’s a stellar person and an asset to the company. We’ll book here or at other Wyndham properties from now on. Keep happy and healthy, Tazzy and Lala.

I travel for work a lot, and this La Quinta is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed anywhere in the US. I even drive 45 minutes out of my way to come here. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Whatever management is doing, they’ve got a great team and a beautiful hotel. Keep it up and spread the plan!

My husband and I travel a lot with our dog, and the pet fee here was only $25. The place was clean and quiet, in a good location, and the woman at the front desk was really nice and helpful. Great stay, highly recommend. Frequent travelers should sign up for their rewards program.

We got in late and checked in on the Wyndham app. The key was waiting when we arrived, and the counter took just five minutes. The room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, the location felt safe, and the AC was cold!!!!! We skipped the free breakfast since we’d eaten a late dinner, but it looked very good.
