This place could have potential if someone actually maintained it, even though it’s in a rough area. Instead, there’s a moldy, musty smell that guests are noticing, an AC unit that seems faulty, and the temperature was set to 60 when I arrived. They’d slathered white paint over things without bothering to hide the paint buckets. The bathroom door barely opens before hitting the sink, the baseboards and floors are badly done, gutters are falling apart, and there were roof shingles and broken glass in the yard. Neighbors leave trash in the front yard too. The properties offered to me were both full of bugs. This one had roach droppings on every surface, and they kept showing up in the mornings. The other had ants, spiders, and random bugs in the bed. Both also had other problems, like a broken dryer in one and no dryer at all in the other. The hosts are poor at communicating, and their responses make it seem like they don’t care about guests or tenants. I’m here now, trying to find somewhere else quickly with support’s help. I wish I’d seen the long history of similar Airbnb reviews first, especially since two different management companies apparently look after the place. They’re asking $1,200 a month for the back and almost $2,000 for the front, without working appliances or amenities that justify it. To me, that’s the Blackstone effect, landlords thinking they can charge Blackstone prices. There are better places nearby that are worth the money and won’t cause this kind of headache. Remember your rights as a tenant or guest.
