Ranch House Inn and Suites

There were no bedbugs, but there were roaches. Management was very disrespectful, and their policies felt a bit terroristic. They seemed willing to bend the rules to keep your deposit. The lower level employees were quite levelheaded.

Great place to stay, and the employees are wonderful! ☺️

I won't stay here again. The hotel is run down and outdated, and I found bedbugs and roaches. After checking in, before I had unpacked, I sat in a chair and got bitten several times. At first I thought mosquitoes might have come in while the door was open, though I never saw any. Then I spotted two tiny bugs on the floor, stepped on them and kicked them away. When I went to sit down again, I saw the same bugs crawling all over the chair. They were bedbugs, about 20 of them. There had been none on it when I first sat down. I think sitting there disturbed them and brought them out from inside the chair. This was during the day, even though I'd been told bedbugs don't come out then. I told the woman manager at the office window and asked for a different room. She rudely asked how there could be bedbugs when they'd just put in a new bed. I explained they were in the chair, and she moved me. In the new room, I saw a bedbug on the floor too. When I went back and asked for a refund, she got an attitude and said the room had just been renovated, so it couldn't have bedbugs, and she would not refund me. I didn't argue with her. I went back to the room and anxiously waited until checkout the next morning. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Don't stay here.

The rooms are reasonably priced and have cable TV. Staff were friendly and helpful, and it was very quiet. The place is dated and could use some work. It's on the same power grid as the VA Hospital across the street, so they didn't lose power during the ice storm.
