Rodeway Inn Terre Haute near University

Roaches were everywhere, even after we switched rooms, and drug users were hanging around all over the place. Don't come here. For a similar price, go to Travelodge instead. It's much better.

The room had a dead rat smell, and roaches were running around everywhere. There was no Wi-Fi, even though it was advertised. We finally got basic cable working, but there wasn't a remote. Terrible place, barely worth one star.

I woke up with bug bites, and the so-called free breakfast was cereal with milk that felt warm. I don't know how long it had been out of the fridge, so I didn't eat any. I want my money back. When I asked for a refund, they told me to dispute the charges, which I'm doing. My room was meant to be non-smoking but smelled of smoke. The bedding was stained with something, and the blankets had burn holes, so I went to my car for my own blanket. Housekeeping came after I reported it and sprayed the room to cover the smell. When I asked for clean bedding, she said she couldn't provide any. I told her stained, burned bedding should be replaced and that using it was unethical. She said the Rodeway Inn couldn't afford replacements and that washing the bedding made the stains fine. I'm very unsatisfied.

The room was plain and clean, and the new bed was quite comfortable. The motel is old and has clearly had plenty of guests. I did keep smelling natural gas outside, coming from the laundry room. I told management, but they didn't seem very concerned. I hope they fix it soon.
