SageBrush Inn

After a long drive, it was a relief to arrive early and find our room ready as promised. The staff were quick to bring anything we needed, and the room was clean and matched the website photos. It’s a quiet spot where you can sit outside under the stars. We loved staying at the AZ Sagebrush Inn and would highly recommend it for a true Tombstone experience.

Downtown is an easy walk from here, and the people and rooms were the best part of our visit. We had a cozy, clean room and really enjoyed our two nights. Check-in was supposed to be at 4, but Sheryl or Shiela let us in early since we hadn’t expected to arrive so soon. She was kind and checked that every room was clean and ready. Kat, our housekeeper, kept our room tidy and took great care of us. We didn’t expect service like that in such a busy tourist town. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it.

The room I was supposed to have was room 3, around September 2025. When we got there late at night, the door took several minutes to open. Once inside, I couldn’t find a light switch that worked, so I used my phone to locate a lamp. The room looked nothing like the website photos. It was very dated, the beds were extremely soft, and a wooden board had been put between the box spring and mattress to support the top mattress. The bedding looked old, and there was dog hair on the counter. A wall sign warned about scorpions possibly hiding in bedding or shoes. I called the contact listed on the paper, but was told they were fully booked. We couldn’t stay there any longer because we were having trouble breathing, so I found a room at the Tombstone Grand Hotel and was glad I did. Sagebrush later credited me for one night, and my credit card company credited the other. I was disappointed this happened. Maybe I’d consider staying there if I visit Tombstone again, but I’d be cautious and ask for a recently renovated room. I thought all the rooms had been updated.

We stayed in room 2, a double queen, and had plenty of space. It was comfortable and clean, and the patio with its propane grill and fire pit was nice to spend time at. The Sagebrush motel is affordable and well located, within walking distance of Tombstone’s famous spots. We had a wonderful stay and will come back on our next visit.
