Comfort Inn Tonopah

We arrived late, so our stay was mostly the front desk, room, and breakfast. The guy at reception was friendly and chatty, which got things off to a good start. The room wasn’t much to look at, but the bed and pillows were comfortable, everything worked, and it had what we needed for an overnight stop. Breakfast surprised me in a good way: they had real eggs and bacon, which you don’t often see at some hotel price points. I’d recommend this place. One warning, obey the speed limit through town. I’ve never seen so many police patrolling such a small area.

The building looked and smelled clean as soon as I walked in, and the rooms were roomy, nice, and clean too. Angie was a huge help and went above and beyond what most companies aim for. I really appreciated the hospitality, thank you.

Getting to the parking from the main highway was easy, and the Comfort Inn is at the north end of Tonopah, Nevada. We arrived at 3:30 pm, when just one staff member was working. The receptionist greeted us with an indifferent attitude. A smile goes a long way. The interior needs cleaning and refurbishment. The hallway carpets looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a while, and the room carpet badly needs to be stretched out. The raised folds could trip someone. There was no toilet paper on either of the two holders in the bathroom. I called the receptionist and was told we had to go pick it up ourselves. Later I noticed three bath towels, three hand towels, and just one washcloth. I didn’t bother telling the desk because I didn’t want to make another trip. Management should sit down with the room staff.

The people at the counter were extremely nice, and the room was clean. But the toilet ran all night, and the faucet leaked all over the counter whenever I turned it on. Breakfast was poor. I’m pretty sure the sausage and hash browns had been microwaved, and the eggs were burnt and tasted fake, like they came from a box.
