Emerald Forest Cabins

We spent a week enjoying our vacation in one of the cabins. Each day we went for a drive, and they’re only about half a mile from the small town. My brother-in-law went tent camping, and there was a fire ring, so we enjoyed that with them. It’s beautiful in the Redwoods.

We stayed four nights in our 5th wheel while we were in town for our granddaughter’s graduation from Humboldt, about 17 minutes away. The campground is beautiful, and the people there were so sweet. It was lovely enough that the highway being close didn’t bother us. We had a pull-through with all the hookups and a dog park, and the price was great. The cabins looked really nice if you don’t want to camp, and the tent sites are gorgeous, just check that yours isn’t right next to the highway. Thanks, Emerald Forrest!

The studio had plenty of room for the two of us and our 80lb Lab, and it was great that dogs are welcome. The bed is firm, with a mix of firm and soft pillows. The shower took a minute to heat up and didn’t drain very well, but there were enough towels. The radiant heated floor worked wonderfully, and there was an updated Roku TV. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow, though connecting the TV to my phone’s hotspot was easy. Thanks for making our New Year’s a little special. We’d stay again.

We’re leaving refreshed and grateful, though a little sad to go. We already know we’ll be back. Camping in our 38' fifth wheel among the peaceful redwoods was exactly the escape we needed, and the property was beautifully kept, with clean facilities, a charming little store, and a great dog park. Everyone we met was warm and kind. Tommie went above and beyond, sharing driftwood and stones she’d collected over the years and giving me a handmade fairy door for a tree at home. Her whimsical creations tucked around the bases of trees add a magical touch.
