The room was spacious and comfortable, and the reception staff were very welcoming. In snowy, windy weather, the shuttle driver was a real gentleman. He put safety first and thoughtfully checked that I was comfortable throughout the ride.

The buffet was the disappointing part of the stay. It was the same food we get free at other Marriott locations, but here it costs $25 per person. My husband also ordered a neat 2 oz drink at the bar for $29, even though we can buy a whole bottle of the same bourbon for $40 at a liquor store. Charging so much for a drink and for breakfast that should be complimentary just felt wrong. Luckily, there were plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby, and we ate and drank at those. We stayed four nights and Mr. Jaffar checked us in. He was kind, courteous, accommodating, and went above and beyond to help. All the staff we interacted with were friendly, happy to help, and acknowledged the customers. The hotel was nice and clean, and the employees seemed happy to work there and friendly with each other.

The staff were great and the hotel was nice, but the room needed more careful cleaning. There was debris all over the lamp switch panel. I’m not sure what it was, but it looked pretty nasty and was hard to miss.

I was here for a three-night business trip and nothing about the hotel particularly stood out, until an unsettling incident on one of the nights. Around 9 pm, I was in bed in my pajamas, under the covers and reading, when I heard a commotion in the hall. I assumed it was another guest. Then an employee suddenly appeared beside my bed carrying plates and asked if they were mine. I said no. He asked if I was sure, and I said yes. I was stunned. He said he had knocked, then said, “Oh my God,” and left. I was already in bed and not wearing much, so I waited until morning to raise it. I spoke with a woman at the front desk before heading out for work. When I returned that afternoon, a female employee called and explained that the bellhop had checked the room number with the front desk the night before but had been given the wrong one. That’s how he ended up in my room instead of the one he meant to visit. I understand that mistakes happen. But a lone woman should not have someone barging into her room at 9 pm unless there’s an emergency. This was unacceptable. I won’t stay here again, and I’m telling my coworkers to avoid it too. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
