The building’s exterior might make you hesitate, but that feeling goes away once you step inside. Our room was huge, and the bed linens and towels were bright white and very clean. The bath towels were especially soft and extra large. The hot tub was great, the prices were good, and the front desk service exceeded my expectations.

The staff were nice, but the hotel was just okay. The carpet in the room looked really old and dirty, and the bathroom tiles were poorly done, though the water pressure was pretty good. Breakfast was the usual brand standard, with a couple of items missing. Go down early, since they didn’t seem to refill it. I’m loyal to Choice but open to trying somewhere new, and next time I think we’ll stay at a different hotel.

The manager was apologetic and refunded us quickly, but I would never return. We saved $20 by choosing this place, and it wasn’t worth feeling unsafe with our family. After we went up to the second floor and tried our key, someone was already in the room, claiming it was theirs. The manager apologized that someone had broken into our room. While we waited about 20 minutes for the refund, all kinds of people were coming and going. The guests made the place feel scary. It seemed to us that people used it as a hookup or party spot, and maybe for other things too. A hotel can’t necessarily control who books, but people know where they can make noise and party without being kicked out, and this seemed to be one of those places. I’ve never encountered an environment this unsafe in all my years of renting hotel rooms. We nearly considered sleeping in the car, then checked out and went down the road to La Quinta, where we got a beautiful, clean, extremely safe room. Looking more carefully at the reviews below, it seemed obvious to me that positive reviews were being stacked up to outweigh what I see as gross negligence in caring for the property. Maybe the quick refund is because they issue a lot of them instead of fixing the real issue. I’d tell anyone never to go here, and think the place should be shut down.

Work sent me here; otherwise, I’d have stayed at the double tree. The bed was comfortable, water pressure was good, and the breakfast was fine, with a waffle maker. The hotel and room were clean, and the stairwells were clean and well lit. There’s one old elevator, but it worked. The hallway by the pool stank, and the pool’s surrounding gates and walls gave it a prison-like feel. Apart from that hallway, everything was fine.
