DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Tucson - Williams Center

The morning breakfast was decent, but it couldn't make up for how disappointing the room was. We booked a 2 Queen Bed Suite, and it smelled bad as soon as we walked in. The sofa and carpet were dirty, the carpet smelled unpleasant, and the curtains wouldn't close properly. There was broken furniture and visible dirt on the bed frame cover too. The room's cleanliness and condition were far below what I expect from Hilton. I've usually trusted the brand over the years, but this was my worst experience with them by far. It felt more like a cheap motel than a Hilton.

The breakfast buffet was good, and the bartender was really nice. The restaurant had run out of a lot of dishes, though, and the hot tub was warm rather than hot. We changed rooms because the first one smelled awful. The second room smelled too, but it was tolerable.

The suites are roomy, the pool was very clean, and the location and service were great. My one complaint was the vanity, which sat in the bedroom outside the bathroom. Anyone trying to sleep in would have to deal with a bright light while someone else got ready.

I've been coming back to this hotel for a while, and the staff are consistently supportive, friendly, and positive with guests. My room has been clean, and the pool and hot tub are always nice. It's easy to get to the local shops and stores by car or on foot.
