The cleaning lady was the one person who made this stay better. When I asked about cleaning, she kindly said she’d finish what she was doing and see what she could do. With her little cart, she made a real difference, and I wish there were more employees like her at the front desk. The man at the GLH front desk was disrespectful and offered no customer service. He made my family and me feel uncomfortable, gave us a dirty room, and wouldn’t help with our request for a clean one. This was the worst experience of my life.

I booked five nights, but had to find another hotel and am still trying to get my money back. At check-in, I got a key and was told the room would be ready in 15 minutes. When I came back after 30 minutes, someone was still making the bed, so I was told to wait another 15. I sat in my car in the dark, then went up and found the keys didn’t work. No one was at the front desk, and I called for days without getting help. Don't stay here.

The rooms are filthy, and the customer service is even worse. The hotel photos are far from what you actually get, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The location is handy right off the highway, but if your room is at the back, you’ll hear every car getting onto it.

The front desk guy was helpful and offered me a full refund, which I’m very grateful for. The whole stay was still a disaster. This place had nothing grand or luxurious about it, and it wasn’t a resort. The first room smelled, had flies everywhere, roaches in the refrigerator, and two disgusting mattresses. Everything looked like it had been pulled from a dump, and that’s me being generous. I was so scared I forgot to take photos. The second room was less shocking, but the mattress was just as bad. It had no toilet paper, TV, microwave, or refrigerator. I feel for anyone staying in these rooms. It’s not normal to pay to sleep on stained mattresses or share a room with insects. There seemed to be more homeless people than other pedestrians around the hotel, with almost everyone holding a sign or panhandling. This place would have cost $55. I found a phenomenal one down the road for $45. Come see the photos I post of that next hotel. Sometimes small mom-and-pop places surprise you with an old-time look and a warm welcome. This one wasn’t a good find.

I’ve been in a room here for about two months, and it’s actually nice, better than I expected. The fridge, microwave, TV, and AC all work well. Most of the employees have been nice and respectful. One guy named max was a bit rude, but otherwise the service has been good. The issue is homeless people hanging around the halls and staircases. Security works hard to keep them away, and he’s really nice too. The rooms are affordable, and they’re working on fixing the place up to make it more comfortable. If you want a decent, inexpensive place, this could be a good choice.
