WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham Tucson

Only stayed the night, but enjoyed it. The place was very clean, the staff were wonderful, and there are lots of good amenities. It's in a good location, too. I'd highly recommend it if you're staying in this area.

I had a great stay, and this was a GREAT value for what they offer. The bed was super comfy, and the room had a full-size fridge and freezer, dishes, stovetop, dishwasher, full-size sink, and an in-room washer and dryer. They even supplied cleaning products for the dishes and laundry, and the shower was really nice with good products. A Walmart Supercenter is just minutes away, and the AFB and airport are both close, which made things convenient.

We booked a room with a balcony because that mattered to us. Other rooms don't let you open the windows fully. When we arrived, the hotel couldn't provide the room we'd booked. I explained this at the front desk, but the woman there didn't seem to care and just said we could cancel and get a refund. We had booked through Expedia, so we went to another hotel. Afterward, they acted as if they knew nothing about it and said the room wasn't guaranteed. The owner's reply was, "We’re sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet your expectations regarding the balcony. While some of our suites do feature balconies, this amenity is not guaranteed and is based on availability at the time of booking and check-in." That is a complete lie. They advertise the balcony as an extra on hotels.com, Expedia, and their own site, where you can even upgrade to a balcony. I have proof with pictures. They never refunded us. They are just thieves, and the front desk was pathetic. Nobody even said sorry, and they refused to give us proof of the cancellation. Stay away if you don't want to be stolen from by their corrupt ways, failing to provide what you booked and then not refunding you even though you never stayed, after they promised it.

I travel to Tucson often for work, and I'd gotten pretty much the same forgettable service at other hotels. Today was different. Valeria, Yessenia, and Sal welcomed me with service on a par with the Ritz Carlton, for less than other comparable residence-style hotels. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. Thanks for giving me a fresh take on extended stays in Tucson.
