Ambassador Hotel

Ryley at the front desk was wonderful. She sorted out our TV, brought us a bottle of wine in the room, and treated us to dessert drinks and ice cream. She deserves a raise, and we love her!

We booked a king suite for two nights and left after about 15 minutes. The walls were stained, the carpets dirty, and every windowsill had a quarter-inch gap. The windows on the eighth floor opened without screens, which didn’t feel safe. This is supposed to be a five-star “Signature” hotel, but I was extremely disappointed. The Ambassador “Signature hotel” wasn’t worth the trouble, and the nearby crack motels would be better. I went to the lobby to check out and said I was willing to pay for the first night, but hoped to get the second refunded. They told me to contact Expedia, and Expedia said the hotel had to handle it. I still haven’t gotten an answer from anyone. The customer service and appreciation seem to have gone missing.

Paige at the Ambassador Hotel bar was excellent. She knows her work inside out, and was friendly and professional. Ask for her. The service all around was great.

We were celebrating our 10-year anniversary and had no trouble with our room on the first day. Then a swarm of wasps got into it on day two. The hotel was full, and there weren’t any other Marriot properties available, but the manager on duty, Coleman, arranged a room for us at the stunning Mayo Hotel in downtown Tulsa and covered the cost himself. The staff were apologetic and understood how unusual the situation was. Maintenance wasn’t on site that day to deal with it. We were impressed by how quickly and smoothly the front desk handled such a difficult problem. Coleman and the whole Ambassador staff saved our anniversary trip.
