The room was large, clean, quiet, and comfortable, with good pillows and blackout curtains. Valet was prompt, and when we had a problem with the TV one night, someone came up right away. I’d stay again. The front desk check-in was easy. I didn’t get the red-haired woman’s name, but she was friendly and helpful throughout our three nights. The gray-haired, bearded man on the night shift was great too, and the bartender seemed friendly with everyone. Breakfast was just okay. I’m pretty sure the eggs weren’t real, and the potatoes were so salty I could barely eat them.
The wraparound windows and city views were the highlight, and we were glad we chose a high-floor corner suite. The room was very clean, with only small cosmetic flaws that took some searching to spot. Our stay was enjoyable overall. Check-in could have been better. We weren't offered the complimentary water or thanked for our membership, things other Hyatts have done for us. Breakfast was fair, though we've had better.
The city view is absolutely worth it. Service was amazing, and breakfast is free in the morning. Parking nearby can be tricky, so I'd go with the valet they offer. It makes things much easier.
I won't stay here again. I paid for valet at the Hyatt Place Tulsa/Downtown, and the valet parked my car. When I called the next morning to have it brought around, he handed me a yellow parking citation. He said he didn't know why I'd gotten it because he had parked in the correct valet area. The hotel staff agreed the ticket shouldn't have happened, but I was still left with it. I challenged it on the Pay to Park website and was told the hotel needed to handle it. The hotel manager then said she couldn't help and sent me to Royal Valet. I'm still caught in the middle. If the hotel contracts out a service, it should take responsibility for resolving problems with it instead of leaving the guest to sort it out.
We love Tulsa, and this is a nice option if you want a newer hotel in the middle of downtown. We usually stay at the nearby Regency, but decided to try this one. The hotel itself is lovely. We somehow got a smaller-than-usual Hyatt Place room, a handicapped room near the elevators. It was fine for our one-night stay, though it was out of shower gel.
